When it comes to steelhead fishing on the Oregon Coast, nobody does it better than SBC pro-staffer Aarron Schmidty of Schmidtys Guide Service.
The big dog of the day was our 10mm blood roe bead. Fished under a float or as a dropper under a jig our Blood Roe was the hit, didn’t even fish another color. We went 7 for 15 all caught with the blood roe except for one caught on a spoon.
We lost two we hooked up with on our Rock and Roll spinners, one broke off on a branch that went for the Blood lotus and the other we hooked up spit our blue blood spinner.
